RV Technician
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the actual service and/or repair of recreational vehicles (RVs) assigned by the Shop Foreman and/or Dispatcher
RESPONSIBILITIES
(The Rush RV Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following):
Service, Maintenance and Repair of RVs
- ● Properly complete the services and/or repairs for which the Technician is trained as assigned by the Shop Foreman and/or Dispatcher
- ● Seek assistance from the Shop Foreman when experiencing technical problems with service or repairs
- ● Complete all work according to applicable safety requirements and published procedures (where applicable)
- ● Accurately record time spent completing all job operations on the labor time sheet associated with each unit
- ● When possible or if required, maintain an inventory of normal technician’s tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the company as "special tools”
- ● Properly use the special tools and equipment provided by the company
- ● Participate in and utilize to the best of one's abilities technical training as assigned by management
- ● Produce quality work that shows pride of workmanship
- ● Ensure that customers' RVs are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being
- serviced
Communication
- ● Communicate regularly with Shop Foreman on the status of jobs in order to meet completion times
- ● Inform management of any situation or event that would interfere with established objectives, standards, or company policies
- ● Inform management of any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or
- integrity of the organization, its employees, or customers Customer Service and Satisfaction
- ● Assist the organization in its efforts to achieve a high-level of customer satisfaction through accountability to complete assigned work and open communication
- ● Conduct all company business with sincerity, honesty, and in a professional and ethical manner
Administrative
- ● Maintain assigned bays and work spaces in an organized and clean manner
- ● Keep special tools, parts room, break room, etc. clean and organized Policies & Procedures
- ● Adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output of work and demonstrate accountability
